Oxford Brookes wished to celebrate the University’s rich history and the diversity of people who have benefited from studying and working there since its foundation as the Oxford Art School in 1865. We were asked to create an installation using 650 photographs originated at ‘LiveFriday’, an event launching the 150th celebrations, jointly hosted with the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. This required some very creative thinking.
By creating three multi-layered structures, when viewed from the central position the layered images come together to create the 150, giving the viewer that ah-ha moment. This made it a great involvement device and it was rewarding to see people interact with it even before we’d finished the installation on site.
